How does Tax work with TimeBanking in New Zealand?  

Since 2005 until current date (2016) members of TimeBanks within New Zealand do not exchange skills that provide their main form of taxable income ($NZ) for Time Credits. This is in response to advice received from the Inland Revenue Department (IRD). It is important to note that this is not the result of an acutal ruling. 

Our Wellington TimeBank has a saying - "it takes a difference to make a difference". TimeBanking is different and it really changes lives, builds and connects community. How? Read some of our heartwarming stories and example here. Prepare to be moved.
